This text is in Spanish. Compiled by Vision Publishers from Beside the Still Waters Ministries, this is a 365-day devotional book. The pieces found in this book were selected from the first three years of the bimonthly devotionals distributed free throughout the United States by Still Waters Ministry of Clarkson, Kentucky. These readings are as diverse as the men who wrote them. Few books will possess so many different challenges because few books have so many authors that hold your attention. There is a theme verse for each day and a short Bible reading at the end of each day's reading. By following the Bible reading schedule at the bottom of each reading, you will read through the Bible in one year. 370pp.

Green, Karen
Previous owner's signature on ffep. This important and timely book challenges the direction taken by much recent work in the field of feminist studies. It mounts a powerful defence of humanism - a tradition of which many contemporary feminists have been sharply critical. Many feminists have viewed 'reason' and 'rationality' with deep suspicion. They have argued that reason was constructed by male philosophers in a way that excluded feminine traits: the man of reason was a masculine fiction. But this rejection of humanism assumes that there is only one tradition of humanism and only one conception of the rational individual. By carefully re-examining the texts of a feminist humanist tradition, Karen Green uncovers a different conception of the rational individual - a 'female version of rationality'. She captures the specificity of women's thought through a careful examination of their writings and their differences from the work of their male contemporaries. On this basis, Green argues that we need to reconceptualize both rationality and liberalism. Maintaining the ideal of rationality is quite compatible with understanding ourselves as embodied, emotional creatures whose sense of self is made up of a mixture of reason and feeling. Feminist humanism can provide a firm basis for political action and a compelling defence of equal political representation for women and men.211pp.

Herschel, Wayne; Lederer, Birgitt
Wayne Herschel, in a culmination of 15 years of research on archaeo-astronomy, has unravelled an extraordinary secret. His journey begins in Egypt discovering that in all probability, all 50 of the pyramids of Lower Egypt represent a grand star map of the brightest stars forming a 360 degree circuit of constellations along the edge of the Milky Way. Even more importantly, the star map denotes the proverbial X that marks the spot. He also identifies the origins of a human blueprint code within the star map. In its context it claims cryptically that our human lineage is associated with what appears to be another nearby Sun-like star system. The human blueprint emerges at other ancient sites. The same star pattern found in Egypt is also found at Stonehenge, Tikal, and Angkor Wat when their nearby monuments are included. The earliest human cave paintings at Lascaux, the Sumerians and the Incas, as do many other ancient civilisations around the world, all appear to emulate the very same star secret with great obsession. In every instance it is their ultimate monument or an inscription that reveres the importance of one nearby Sun-like star. This star is in Taurus, the bull of the heavens, and the ancients passionately worshiped it as the place of their gods. Just when you think you have seen it all, the so-called pyramid ruins on the planet Mars reveal the unthinkable. This full-colour glossy book takes the reader on a riveting journey from one clue to the next, proving its theories at the hands of a whole array of forgotten ancient texts and artefacts. 292pp. N.B.
